Doors Art Fair 2011
From November 25th through the 27th
Imperial Palace Hotel, Seoul

The last but not the least art fair of the year in Korea, Doors Art Fair 2011 kicks off on November 25th at Imperial Palace Hotel. Following its
successful debut in 2010 with the work of 200 artists in exhibit, Doors Art Fair is presenting its second edition, this time larger in scale, with 35 Korean and international galleries from 5 different countries participating.

Proclaiming itself a new direction in the Korean art market, this young hotel art fair made quite a sensational launch with its well suited catchphrase “Open the doors!,” as it aims to promote diversity in the art market.

The Doors, featuring the work of mostly emerging and mid-career artists of high-caliber and yet still reasonably priced, it’s a must-see event for art enthusiasts to experience the fresh look of contemporary art. Participating in the Fortune Cookies Project, guided by artist Jihay Kang,
is a must for any parents accompanying children to the fair.

For the list of participating galleries and more special programs like the Special Media Exhibition, Samsonite Mecenat Exhibition, the
International University in Imagination curated by critic Jinsup Yoon, and Dongbangyogoi by Art in Culture, please check out:
